Located in Mumbai, an industrial solutions company was keenly looking out for a trustworthy accountant who could manage their books of progress for their branch office in Kolkata – the city of joy. They approached us to identify a suitable candidate for their requirement.
Our team member, Krishna Badani, undertook this opportunity. It was all going smoothly for Krishna. In just a few weeks, Krishna had identified a handful of candidates who showed potential for the job. But the pandemic had forced the company to put the mandate on hold.
After a few months when the client was ready to review candidates for the position, the shortlisted candidates had either moved on or were not interested in the job anymore.
Krishna was back to square one. But this time, the mandate was more tough as the client had even reduced the salary budget for the position by 20%.
But giving up was not an option for Krishna. After a determined struggle for six months, Krishna was finally able to get his first closure. The selected candidate had lost the job due to pandemic and was thrilled to be employed again, while the client found a trustworthy candidate for their branch office within their budget.
At Talent Corner, every closure is special, but this one was extra special as it was Krishna’s very first closure and he clearly demonstrated that the tough gets going only when the going gets tough!
