A finance based tech company were looking out for a “ATG & Endeca Developer” who had a strong understanding of ATG & Endeca product having a hands-on experience with product support, ATG customisation & enhancements.
Syed Razak our dedicated team member undertook this opportunity and with all the technical details involved, he got on a call with the client to thoroughly understand the roles and responsibilities of the requirement.
The requirement was pretty straight forward but there was a catch. As ATG was a legacy application outperformed by newer applications in the market, there were few applicants available with the relevant experience. But this did not stop Syed Razak, he began his search and it didn’t take long before he found a suitable candidate who seemed to be the perfect man for the job. The candidate was immediately shortlisted and was made an offer to join the company. Everything seemed to go so smoothly, at least that’s what we thought.
After just 2 weeks of having an introductory call with the company’s client in the US, the candidate backed off in the last moment refusing to join the company due to some unavoidable reason. The director of the company did his best to retain him by fulfilling all demands but nothing seemed to work out. In the end, we were back to square one. Syed started the run once again and this time there was pressure because the client had already introduced the candidate to the US client prior to joining. As a result, we had a deadline to close the opening within a week or the client may lose the project. But thanks to Syed’s ability to adapt, he found a candidate within a week and guess what, he was also an immediate joiner. Thus, we got the closure immediately.
Syed showed resilience and by putting himself in the client’s shoes, he successfully got the closure in just a week. It is this ability to handle, adapt and overcome the pressure that makes Talent Corner so reliable and trust-worthy.
