Recruitment Diaries: Optimism is the drive that leads to achievement.

Located in Bangalore, a technology consulting company approached us to help them identify and fill the positions of an Assistant Manager and Data Entry Executive for their Mumbai branch.

With an experience of little over 5 months and 2 closures in the IT industry, Adithya Iyer, was looking to add more closures to his name. So, this was his perfect opportunity to fulfil that goal.

However, the client didn’t provide a structured job description for th position. So Adithya took this as a learning opportunity and started exploring all the roles and duties for both the positions. And with all the data he gathered, he was able to build the JD from scratch – all by himself. This also became the stepping stone for him to identify the right candidates for the roles.

After shortlisting a handful of well-capable candidates, the client added a caveat that he would consider candidates only from large enterprises. This became a huge roadblock for Adithya. So, he had to convince the client about their capabilities and their potential to grow within the company. The client immediately agreed.

The only final challenge remaining was the negotiation process. Being MBA graduates, the candidates had high expectations in terms of the offer. But due to tough market scenario, the client was not in the position to further review the offer. However, Adithya was able to show them the bigger picture – the growth opportunity it brought along for them.

This way he was able to close both the positions within the deadline. It was Adithya’s problem-solving ability and his optimistic approach that helped him fulfil his achievement.
