Indians were watching international news but no one expected 4 consecutive lockdowns. As shared by the old generation the current COVID-19 situation has not been witnessed by any generation. Post 2.0 lockdown the Metro and Urban cities have the first time witnessed such level of massive inter-state immigration! In the mid of this chaos, we Talent Corner HR Services saw a life-changing transformation opportunity!
Before we go to the transition and transformation we have witnessed several changes in the industries Considering the international market situation in India in next 2 years there will be a growth opportunity with IT, ITES, Digital Media, Media, Energy, E-Commerce, Gaming, Manufacturing, Paint, Pharma etc. Also Work From Home has become a new safety norm for all industries and sectors. Even Manufacturing, Pharma etc industries are now studying the Work From Home model post lockdown. So in a nutshell, as we all know our life has changed forever and we will be never be able to go back to those old days! The year 2020 will be now marked as COVID-19 era. It will definitely have a special mention in the history. An Epidemic who not only bought Europe, China but also World Leader USA to its knees.
So as a Service Industry we were having 2 immediate challenges at our hands! First fine-tuning and modifying the Recruitment Process as per current situation and estimating the future Workflow. Secondly to keep our Franchise Partners busy with work and keep them motivated in this testing time! When we started working we soon realised that neither of the situations is a real challenge to us or our system.
We are a Top 100 Franchise Brand in India. Fundamentally our Franchise Model is based on the Work From Home Concept so there was no change in our recruitment process. The blessing was mostly all HR Managers and their management adapted the online screening methodology! Bingo!!! And with this step, we all found a solution to the nightmare of every Recruiter and the HR Manager…Last-minute interview blackouts! As all our clients started conducting online / Skype interviews candidates started taking online interviews very seriously. Due to no travelling scenario, the Interview quality also went up drastically. So basically the closure process which generally used happen between 15-25 days the reduced to 5-10 days. So even we started getting benefits of the same.
To elaborate more in last 40 days we received requirements mainly from Paint (as the monsoon is nearing), Pharma (the reason is very well known), Gaming, Advt & Media, Energy, IT and ITES industries. So in 40 days, we received 40-45 requirements for Junior, Mid and Senior Level profiles. The minimum package for the junior level profile started from Rs. 2.5 lacs per annum. Even in the lockdown we are now only getting requirements from Green zones but also from Cities which are in the Red Zones like, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore. In these companies, the candidates are doing virtual joining.
Apart from this there also Clients and HR Managers who are planning and building them this Financial Year’s Talent Pipeline which they can finalise post lockdown. So in short in some sectors, the work has already started.
Also, we believe that 2020-21 will be also a year of invention! As we all hoping for the vaccine on COVID-19 at the same time many new small scale industries are going to slowly blossom. As it is predicted by many health experts that probably COVID-19 will be with us for more than a year there always going to be increased and continues demand for the products related to this epidemic. There will be also chances that companies will start working from home in different shifts. This will also create a demand for additional manpower. If Indian people voluntarily decide to ban the Chinese products then there is a huge scope and demand for our products will slowly create scope for manpower requirements.
With sufficient workflow, we also started preparing our Franchise Partners to take their business to the next level! Being an industry Expert we prepared our Franchise Partners to anticipate the future change and the trend! We conducted several weekly webinars for our Franchise Partners and invited some eminent industry speakers like HR Managers, Motivational Speakers, Business Coach etc. This actually helped our Franchise Partner to look ahead of COVID-19 situation and to plan and fine-tune their Franchise Business Accordingly. We believe that COVID-19 taught us a big lesson in terms of our financial situation! First of all, after observing 2+ months of Lockdown many of us have realised are able to make a clear list of Necessities and Non-Necessities. So post lockdown many of us will their purchases and splurges in check. Fashion Influencers will not be playing any key role anymore! But does it mean that E-Commerce websites will not have any consumers? The answer is no! Post COVID-19 also cities like Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai will still have to follow social distancing and other norms.
